Safewheel Rural Awareness Program
The root cause of community transmission of the virus is the lack of awareness. Since the inception of COVID-19, we have been educating village people about respiratory hygiene, WHO precautionary guidelines, and other COVID-19 related information coming from the government. To this date, we have educated 3000+ people. We use telecommunications, internet, and personal interaction to conduct these training sessions avoiding public gatherings.
As the number of doctors is very few, a large portion of non-emergency village patients relies on private clinics where doctors from urban hospitals visit once or twice a week to consult villagers. Many doctors are now unable to commute long distances, so are the patients. To bring a solution for this, Safewheel connects the village patients with voluntary doctors who provide basic health advice to rural patients.
